MEDICAL QI GONG

Qi gong (cultivation of vital energy) is a pathway to improve overall health and deepen awareness; to heal specific conditions; and for personal growth. It works on the physical, emotional & spiritual anatomies, aiming to shift stagnant energy, as well as relieve physical and emotional tension.

It is a mind-body-spirit practice that improves one's health by enhancing our ability to sense the Life Force underlying the physical world, and to deepen our communication with it.

I teach the Thai Qi Holistics (TQH) - a precise and restorative system rooted in Chinese medicine and the natural laws of harmony, TQH is a practice that nurtures long-term wellbeing by deepening body awareness and aligning us with the rhythms of nature.

Through mindful movement, the TQH system helps individuals observe and transform habitual patterns in posture, breath, and sensation—patterns that often underpin both physical symptoms and emotional discomfort. Qi Gong has the potential to become a pathway to embodiment, confidence, and resilience.

The practice includes a number of static postures, stretches, breathing techniques, and dynamic exercises to heal, regenerate, and teach you to skilfully guide energy, remove toxins, tension and stagnation. Regular practice brings about a deep strengthening effect for all systems of the body (nervous, digestive, respiratory, skeleton-muscular, hormonal, gynaecological).

It has a calming and regulatory effect on the individual as a whole, and can target specific areas such as joints, organs, chronic conditions and injuries.

Ajarn Toh, the founder of TQH, is a doctor of Chinese medicine and a respected Qi Gong master within the Thai Buddhist community. His work bridges inherited Buddhist values and ancient medical wisdom, creating a dynamic and integrated approach to health that is both grounded and expansive.

TQH began as a clinical and educational centre in Chiang Mai, Thailand, and now welcomes students and patients internationally. It draws on the ancient traditions of Medical Qi Gong and Chinese Medicine, passed down through generations, and is part of an Association of Thai Traditional and Alternative Medicine recognised for developing future doctors and therapists in Holistic Medicine. TQH is now taught around the world, with centres in Thailand, France, Turkey and South Korea, and instructors in Japan, France, Belgium, Holland, Italy, Spain, New York, Pakistan and Greece.

We begin with a free 30-minute introductory call. It’s a chance for you to ask questions, get a feel for how I work, and see if it’s the right fit - there’s no pressure to continue.

If we choose to work together, we would agree on a set number of sessions (usually 60 or 90 minutes in length), or keep things open and review along the way.

All sessions are held online via Zoom. My working hours are Monday to Friday, between 7am and 7pm GMT.
